The students answered questions from the Committee.
The students agreed to share the details of their proposal for financing the free bus passes, as well as the survey undertaken on the proposal.

The Committee considered the petition for the first time and agreed to:
Write to the Minister on the subject of the petition;
Refer the petitioner to the Heritage Bill that the Minister for Housing, Regeneration and Heritage will be bringing forward and encourage them to engage in that process.

The Committee considered this petition for the first time and agreed to write to the First Minister on the subject.

The Committee considered this petition for the first time.
Bethan Jenkins stated that she has publicly supported the subject of the petition.
The Committee agreed to follow-up on the Chair’s letter to the Minister on the subject.

The Committee considered this petition for the first time and agreed to:
Write to the Minister on the subject of the petition;
Urge the petitioners to engage in the consultation being held on the marine conservation zone proposals.

The Committee considered correspondence in relation to this petition and agreed to:
Refer the matter to the Cross-party Group on Sport;
Schedule a Plenary debate on the issue and then close the petition.

The Committee considered correspondence in relation to this petition and agreed to:
Summarise the actions taken by the Committee and forward to the relevant constituency and regional AMs, indicating the Committee’s support and asking that AMs continue to support the petitioners at local level;

The Committee considered correspondence in relation to this petition and agreed to:
Relay the petitioner’s comments to the Minister;

The Committee considered correspondence in relation to this petition and agreed to write to the petitioners to ask whether they are satisfied with the Minister’s response on the subject and, if so, close the petition.

The Committee considered correspondence in relation to this petition and agreed to write to the Leader of Ceredigion County Council setting out the Committee’s concerns and areas it feels should be prioritised. This would include a review of the new service provision by an external body, which the Council Leader has indicated would be welcomed.

The Committee considered correspondence in relation to this petition.
Joyce Watson declared an interest as a member of the RSPB.
The Committee agreed to close the petition, given that the assessments carried out and the steps taken are supported by the RSPB.
5.8P-04-378 Extend the Gower Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
The Committee considered correspondence from the Countryside Council for Wales relating to this petition.
The Committee agreed to:
Write to the Minister outlining its concerns about the information received in the correspondence;
Keep the Environment and Sustainability Committee apprised of the situation;
Request details of the timeline for the Environment Bill, which the Gower Society could engage in;
Keep the Gower Society President and Chair apprised of the Committee’s actions.
5.9P-04-360 Penylan Not Spot Petition
The Committee considered correspondence in relation to this petition.
Given that BT have confirmed that the ‘go live’ date for the relevant exchange is December 2012, the Committee agreed to close the petition.
5.10 P-04-364 Fibre Optic for Rural Areas
The Committee considered correspondence from the Minister for Business, Enterprise, Technology and Science in relation to this petition. In light of the Minister’s letter, the Committee agreed to close the petition.
